The Institute offers short-term courses and training programmes aimed at skills development with social science and interdisciplinary content though providing such training is not directly mandated by the ordinance. At present these are conducted mainly as tailor made programmes to suit specific needs of clients and interested organizations/agencies may contact the Institute for further details. The PGIHS recently concluded a two-day training workshop on Urban Landscape Ecological Planning.
